| 11/08/05 - Injury
report from THE INSIDER |
Well well. You fans
wanted it, so here it is. The return of I, THE INSIDER. Hell or
Highwater was a huge event for EPW with no less than three major
grudge matches taking places. And did it ever show in the injury
list after the show. And who better to get the low down on the
injuries than I, THE INSIDER.
- In one of the matches of
the night, Chris J Lazareth broke his foot in two places.
Unfortunately for him, the match continued for over another
twenty minutes after he injured himself and he also
destroyed ligaments in his foot. CJL was transported
directly to hospital after the match and spent approximately
a week in there after an operation to correct the break.
Doctors have not yet given him a date for when he can return
but he is keen to get back to action as soon as possible to
settle the score with Davis Storm for his attack on GST and
Michelle at Evolution.
- Jamie Jurah was seriously
injured after the conclusion of his last man standing match
with Devlin Reeves. But the true extent of his injuries are
currently unknown. Jamie was rushed from the venue straight
to hospital. EPW officials contacted doctors through out the
following week to follow Jamie’s progress. However, after a
few days Jurah checked himself out of hospital and has not
been heard from since. Attempts to contact him have proved
fruitless to this point. I, THE INSIDER, spoke to Chris Vice
who was one of the wrestlers who helped Jamie to the back
after his match. “He didn’t say a word. Jamie was fading in
and out of consciousness as the paramedics prepared to
transfer him to hospital. I heard the medics say something
about his neck and they placed a brace on his neck before
wheeling him out.” We will keep you posted on this
situation.
- With all these apparent
injuries taking centre stage, a very serious injury slipped
under the radar of fans and officials. It appears that Brad
West’s knee suffered tremendous damage that will keep him on
the sidelines for some time to come. Now unlike Jamie, I,
THE INSIDER, was able to catch up with West for a chat
concerning his injury. “It didn’t seem to bad at the time,”
said Brad while convalescing at home, “He (Storm) dropkicked
my knee and I felt a pop. Even still it wasn’t until after
the match that the pain really set in.” And the problems
too. Brad has been tied to a full leg brace and crutches
since the event. A visit to two specialists has not found
the problem and he is scheduled for an MRI later this month.
“I don’t know when I’ll be back because we haven’t even
found the problem at this stage. It looks as if 2005 could
be over for me unfortunately”
Richter and Mikey both required attention after their brutal
blood bath but were back on their feet with in a few days.
Well that’s all the injury news
fit to print. But you can be sure that I, THE INSIDER, will
return before Cause for Concern is upon us. |
