HANDICAP HARDCORE MATCH
FN CARNAGE v EUROPEAN UNION
This issue between FN Carnage &
the European Union seemed to develop out of nothing.
Carnage teamed with Tommy Cartel to face Jonny Wimbledon &
Michael Morleone at Hell or Highwater. In what was a
dominant display, Carnage & Cartel defeated the Union when
Jonny tapped out to Tommy’s reverse cloverleaf.
After the match, Morleone lost his cool and started to push
the referee before getting in Cartel’s face. Carnage
separated the men and then offered to shake Morleone’s hand.
The Don hesitated at first before shaking Carnage’s hand.
What seemed like a show of respect was soon shown to be a
set up as Morleone jumped Carnage from behind. But rather
than injure him, he simply pissed Carnage off.
And that innocuous action appears to have blown up in the
European Union’s faces like they were Wyl E. Coyote opening
a box of dynamite.
Or has it?
At first most observers thought that the Don had simply lost
his cool and attacked Carnage. But could it have been that
the Union had planned this whole sequence of event before
they ever took place.
I, THE INSIDER, think so.
They could have predicted that Carnage would be furious and
challenge the Don to a match at High Stakes. The Union
pulled a master stroke by having Marcius Pitsonopolous
interfere, giving the Don a huge win over the former EPW
champion.
And despite Carnage flogging the ‘Golden Greek’ at Boiling
Point, they have managed to keep Carnage right where they
want him. He is angry, fired up and walked straight into a
handicap match at RE-AWAKENING V when challenged.
What exactly is the Union’s motivation you ask?
Simple. Notoriety. They are looking to make their name by
defeating a man who is considered the backbone of Explosive
Pro Wrestling at the biggest event in EPW’s history.
Carnage has managed to slant the odds slightly back in his
favour by having the match made a hardcore handicap match
but that may be playing right into the Union’s hands. If he
doesn’t manage to subdue all three men early, he may be
destroyed at the hands of the trio that hail from Almighty
Europe.
One can only hope that Carnage has thought this through as
thoroughly as the European Union appear to have. Because if
he hasn’t, November 4th 2006 may not just mark the beginning
of his fifth year in professional wrestling. It may mark the
beginning of the end of his career. |
