31/10/06 - INSIDE Re-Awakening - Team Vice vs Team Vegara
Team Vice Team Vegara

8 Man Tag Match
At RE-AWAKENING V, two teams of 4 men will fight in an elimination tag team match. But the reason for this match revolves around only two of them.

AZ Vegara & Chris Vice were a tag team on the rise. It seemed like these two were just turning the corner this time last year, when it all started to fall apart.

Vegara scored a massive win at RE-AWAKENING 2005 by surviving an 8 man scramble tag match. He soon learnt that he did not enjoy sharing the spotlight with anyone.

He again used questionable tactics to score a pinfall over Tommy Cartel at Settling the Score. Again he celebrated by himself instead of sharing the spotlight with his partner. It was his spotlight hogging antics that cost his team the chance to become #1 contenders. But he placed the blame squarely on the shoulders of Vice and attacked his injured leg.

Since then, the two men have been at it hammer and tongs. Their bloody battle at Hell or Highwater ended in typical fashion as a low blow and feet on the ropes led to AZ having his hand raised in victory.

AZ managed to duck Vice for the majority of their three way bout with Shane Haste at Boiling Point. And he will probably use his team to hide from Vice yet again at RE-AWAKENING.

However, with the elimination rules, he may end up in a 2 on 1 situation. Or 3 on 1. Or heaven forbid he find himself in a 4 on 1 situation. There would certainly be no escaping Vice then.

But the other notable factor is the return of the ‘Red Dragon’, Psychofett. After almost 6 long months away from the EPW ring, what can we expect from this returning star?
Only time will tell. This should be an exciting, fast paced match.
