While most people have been partying away over the Christmas
and New Year period, I, THE INSIDER, have been working
overtime to get the Inside Scoop for you, the EPW faithful.
And there has been plenty to hear.
2008 ended on a high note with former EPW wrestler, Jamie
Jurah, returning to down Bobby Marshall in a heated match at
Kristmas Kaos. Jurah looked fantastic in his return and is
said to be healing well. In what can only be considered a
massive scoop, I, THE INSIDER, am led to believe that EPW
officials have been holding heated meetings over the
possibility of Jurah being fully reinstated. More news as it
comes to hand.
Brad West is never one who is lost for words. Rather than
waiting for a call, the leader of Team All Star beat the
rush and put in a call to this office last week to ‘word’ us
up on all the news on Planet All Star. “2008 ended in
disappointment for us and our fans,” Brad claimed. “After
winning the Rising Star Cup & releasing our first single we
were on a massive roll. But then, Dan Moore and Chase
Griffin ruined our perfect year by cheating to hang onto the
tag team titles at RE-AWAKENING.”
But West says 2009 will be the year of Team All Star. With
another single in the works (yes we’re serious) Brad says
they’re on the lookout for their #1 draft pick for 2009. And
for Sander? “Let’s just say that I’ve got plenty of contacts
through out the sports entertainment industry and when the
world’s biggest sports entertainment group comes to town
later this year, I’ll be making sure they take a long hard
look at Sebastian Sander.” Hmm. Sounds Gangsta.
Whispers are abound that the walking talking ego of EPW,
former champion Bobby Marshall, may have finally come
crashing back to Earth. Marshall suffered four major loses
in a row to bring his runaway year to a grinding halt.
“There are plenty of EPW wrestlers having a laugh at his
expense right now,” an EPW employee said. “When he got to
the top, we all thought it may chill him out a little bit.
But he actually seemed to get worse as he piled up the wins.
You can bet your bottom dollar that everyone is lining up to
kick him as he seems to be on this slide.” Reports are that
Marshall spent most of December in a drunken haze and is
refusing to listen to anyone who says he needs to get
serious again. Bobby needs to find that hunger that made him
one of the most dominant champions we’ve ever seen. Or his
career could be in serious jeopardy?
In related news, Jay Taylor appears to be pushing his way up
the line to kick Marshall next. He has told EPW officials
that he would like to put his title shot on hold until he
can get a crack at his former mentor. Jay feels he still
owes Marshall for being unceremoniously removed from Bobby’s
group in favour of Damian Slater.
That’s all the news that’s fit to print. See you all this
Saturday night at the
Great Aussie Bash. Until then, I’m the
INSIDER and you’re not. |
