Lukey repeated that the loser of this
match would be out of the main event of Re-Awakening. Both men went
through a feeling out period early with neither able to gain an
ascendancy. Mikey managed to duck out of a waistlock by sending
Storm crashing through the ropes to the floor. After being stripped
of the title earlier, this infuriated Storm who came back in more
aggressive. But his aggression led to another mistake which saw him
wind up on the outside yet again.
The match started to pick up with the
two exchanging chops. Storm drilled Mikey with a well placed
enziguiri that sent Mikey to the outside. Davis tried to follow up
but was given a drop toehold into the apron instead. As Mikey threw
Storm back in, Azazal entered and started to beat up on the ‘Rising
Star’. The ‘Fallen Angel’ then pushed the referee down which led to
the match being declared a no contest.
Storm had a staredown with Azazal before leaving the ring. Azazal
beat up on Mikey some more before Lukey announced that the two men
would face each other at Vendetta.
