FN Carnage vs Richter
This match began with the huge announcement that this bout would be for Carnage’s EPW title. Carnage started out quickly trying to cut Richter’s legs from out under him. The champion threw everything at the big man early but could not chop him down. Richter returned fire and had Carnage reeling on the outside. But it was here that Carnage was able to re-establish control with his superior brawling skills.
Carnage appeared to have Richter down for the count with a well applied sleeperhold. But then Richter fought back, stood up and dropped all of his weight down onto Carnage. A huge chokeslam almost gave us a new champion until the new ‘Australian Wrestling Icon’ drilled Richter in the unmentionables. He set Richter up for a suplex to the outside but found himself being chokeslammed off the apron and onto the floor. He followed up with a clothesline from the top rope to the floor.
Only the timely interference from Slick Rick prevented a new champion being crowned. Carnage was able to crotch Richter on the top rope and hit a superplex for a near 3 count. Carnage resorted to a title belt shot but even that couldn’t keep the big man down. Richter looked primed to cause a huge upset but ANOTHER low blow and an eye of the storm put him away for the three. Richter has proven once and for all that he is a serious title threat and he will now need to turn his attention towards the Invitational Tournament to earn another title shot.
