These two men tore into each other at
the opening bell with both of them keen to become the #1 contender.
Storm started out with a plancha and then nailed Mikey with a DDT on
the ring apron. A diving headbutt couldn’t even keep Mikey down.
Mikey started to fight back with suplexes and a clothesline but
Storm was quickly back on top with an STO as he continued the work
on Mikey’s neck.
A reverse atomic drop and a dropkick to the face had Davis reeling.
Mikey hit a high impact suplex neckbreaker. But when he went for the
sunset bomb, Storm managed to hit a modified neckbreaker onto his
knee. Mikey found himself locked in a crossface submission. But he
would not give up and fought his way to the ropes.
Mikey seized an opportunity and hit
Storm with a high knee and an enziguiri. An old school expulsion had
Mikey on the verge of victory before a massive yakuza kick had Mikey
down and almost out. Even the Eye of the Storm couldn’t quell Mikey
and a superkick seemed to have sealed victory for him before FN
Carnage hit the ring. He took out both men causing the match to be
thrown out yet again. Carnage and Slick Rick celebrated until Lukey
reminded them of the stipulation in this match. Lukey said that the
loser of the match was out of the main event of Re-Awakening. Seeing
that the match had no loser, he declared that the main event at
Re-Awakening would be a three way dance. Azazal and Carnage
re-entered the ring and started to beat on the fallen men. Mikey and
Storm battled back as the latter hit Carnage with a tope’ to the
floor. Azazal came back to the ring brandishing a chain.
He smashed Mikey in the face repeatedly
drawing blood from the ‘Rising Star’. He beat on Mikey continuously
with the chain before hitting him with the ‘Fallen Angel’ onto the
chain. Lukey then announced that the match at Vendetta would be a
chain match!! This should be an extremely brutal match. Do not miss
Vendetta as we take the last step towards Re-Awakening.
