Before
the commencement of this match, it was announced that Slick Rick Sanders would be the
special guest referee for this bout. With Jamie Jurah at ringside, this clearly put the
odds in Carnages favour.
Slick Rick would surely have to take the award for the most biased
referee in the history of professional wrestling. He constantly fast counted the champ,
while he refused to count when Jimmy had Carnage on his back.
With
that said, this was a tremendous back and forth match with both men showing why they are
the elite in EPW. Some fantastic wrestling on display, with each wrestler trying to outdo
the other in the suplex department. Azazal made his way down to ringside but Jimmy took
out everyone in the ring. He nailed Carnage with a gore and referee Brett Corvus sprinted
down to register a two count before Azazal pulled him from the ring.
Carnage was busted open after hitting his head on an exposed
turnbuckle. As Carnage bled, Azazal nailed Payne from behind and hit him with the
Fallen Angel. Carnage stumbled up to drill Jimmy with the piledriver for the
win and the title.
This was without a doubt, the biggest screwjob in EPW history.
Storm and The Vagrant emerged to help Jimmy to the back, while The Uprising joined the
Brat Pack to celebrate their win.
There can be no doubt that The Uprising has reaffirmed their status
as the men in charge of EPW. They have stated that they dont care about titles.
Their only concern is to destroy all the top athletes in EPW. But it appears as though EPW
has a slight glimmer of hope in the distance. Exactly how the team of Payne, Storm and The
Vagrant recover from this event is yet to be seen.
