This
match was one of the biggest grudge matches in EPW history. These two men have been in
each others business since Freeman walked out on Psychofett during the Evolution tag team
tournament. Their previous encounter ended in a double count out after they battled all
over the arena. That would not happen this time, as they took part in a lumberjack match.
Psychofett started out strong by beating Freeman all over the ring. Both men battled to
the outside and it was Psychofett who received the first punishment from the lumberjacks
on the outside.
When
the match continued on the inside, Freeman started to gain control of the match. He would
constantly taunt Psychofett’s lumberjacks and even physically assaulted them before
retreating to the ring. Psychofett would continue to fight back through out the match but
Freeman was able to maintain the advantage by using his lumberjacks to his advantage.
Devlin Reeves DDT’d Psychofett on the floor and even whipped him with his belt.
In the end, Freeman hit the American Nightmare but Psychofett managed to barely kick out.
He had just enough strength to reverse another American Nightmare attempt into a burning
hammer. Freeman too managed to kick out on two. But he couldn’t manage to kick out of
a skellidriver. Psychofett picked up the win and will now be hoping to put this saga
behind him. Both men showed amazing will to win in this match.
