Justin
wasn’t wasting anytime in his first shot at the EPW title. He fired armdrag after
armdrag at the champ and completely out wrestled him in the opening minutes of the match.
Carnage fought back and started to work over his opponent’s back possibly setting him
up for the dragon clutch.
Justin seemed to have a reversal for all of Carnage’s big moves. A huge DDT changed
the course of the match as the champion was planted down hard. Jamie Jurah ran in to save
his partner from a loss but wound up spitting mist in FN’s face. Sane then nailed
Jurah with a gordbuster before hitting his finsher, the Ryhypnol Spike on Carnage. Referee
Brett Corvus was busy removing Jamie from the ring and missed a three-count opportunity.
Carnage
then removed a turnbuckle pad but rammed his own knee into it by accident. Justin latched
on a Restraining Order single leg crab, which had the champion tapping in pain. But again
Corvus was distracted, this time by Slick Rick. Justin tried to take Rick out but wound up
with powder being thrown into his eyes. Carnage then tried to hit Sane with the title
belt. Corvus stopped Carnage before kicking Justin and handing the belt back to the
champion. A belt shot later and Sane was out for the 3 count. It was then revealed that
Corvus had been paid off by Slick Rick. Corvus handed the money back saying that it was
his pleasure to get Sane back for all the torment Justin put him through last year.
