Two of the biggest men in EPW went to battle to determine who is the top big
man in EPW today. It took some time for either man to get his opponent off his feet.
Cartel worked Richter’s back for most of the match, setting up for the reverse texas
cloverleaf. Richter fought on bravely but seemed unable to lift Cartel for some of his
moves due to his injured back. The end seemed near, when Richter latched onto Cartel in
preparation for the Impaler (chokeslam backbreaker). Xeriyous Blade took this moment to
get involved in the matchup. The former leader of the Uprising distracted Richter and the
referee, while passing Tommy his cane. Cartel nailed Richter in the back with the cane and
cinched on the reverse cloverleaf. Richter tried to hold on but could not and tapped out
in agony. Blade left by himself leading most to believe that he was simply after revenge
on Richter. As you may recall, Richter interjected himself into the Re-Awakening match
that the Uprising lost. This was a huge win for Tommy Cartel despite the dubious nature of
the win.
