As the show came to an end, Lukey
invited Slick Rick back into the ring for one last farwell. The
original crew from Explosive Coastal Wrestling put their animosity
towards each other aside and came out to share the moment with their
friend as he enjoyed his last moments in an EPW ring. They
surrounded the ring as a tribute to Slick played on the big screen.
It featured wrestlers speaking candidly about what Rick had meant to
Perth wrestling and to themselves.
When it finished, Davis Storm asked all
EPW wrestlers to put their differences aside and come to the ring to
acknowledge the effort that Rick has given to EPW over the past
three years. Wrestlers poured from the back as the crowd gave him a
well deserved standing ovation and chanted his name.
Rick was then lifted onto the shoulders of the wrestlers for one
last goodbye.
