AZAZAL v PSYCHOFETT
Psychofett came out fired up and ready to get the new year off to a great start with a victory over the man who cost him the Invitational Tournament at RE-AWAKENING. Azazal entered, more subdued than usual and took a microphone before entering the ring. He explained that he had an epiphany during the new year. For the first time in his career, he heard the cheers of the fans at the end of last year. They had applauded his efforts as he fought Mikey in the Chain Match that was voted Match of the Year for 2004. He said that he was sick of hearing the boos and wanted to make 2005 a year of change and that he was going to try to be a more honourable wrestler. He then apologised to Psychofett for costing him the Invitational tournament.
The two men shook hands in a surprising show of sportsmanship before the match got underway. Azazal shocked everyone in attendance by employing many wrestling holds and by giving clean breaks at every opportunity. Even after an inadvertent low blow from Psychofett, Azazal managed to keep his cool. The ‘Red Dragon’ tried to take out Azazal’s knee and appeared to be successful as the ‘Fallen Angel’ seemed to be down and out. After a brief break in the action, Azazal agreed to continue and the match was back on. His knee seemed to give him plenty of trouble for the rest of the match even though Psychofett avoided the leg as much as possible to give him a fighting chance.

When Psychofett went for the Burning Hammer, Azazal landed on his ‘bad’ leg again and crumpled to the mat. This time the match appeared to be over as referee kept Fett at bay while he examined the leg of Azazal. Azazal seemed to inadvertently pull Corvus from the ring as he used him to lift himself to his feet. When Psychofett checked on the ref, Azazal’s real plan went into action. He grabbed the kendo stick that he used at RE-AWAKENING and blasted Psychofett in the head. 3 seconds later, he was the winner of the match.

Psychofett was furious that he had been duped and, apparently, so was Lukey. Lukey made another match for PLAYING FOR KEEPS that will see Azazal tackle Psychofett in a dueling canes match.
