DAMIEN SLATER v SHANE HASTE/ 8 MAN TAG AZ, CHRIS VICE & AWSOME INC v GST, MICHELLE & SLATER
GST made their way out after what will go down as the most elaborate entrance in EPW history. Beautiful girls lined the aisles and threw confetti and rose petals as the champions made their presence felt in grand (albeit pompous) style. With their new found wealth and fame they were dressed in their gold pants and ties and appeared to be living the lifestyle that champions are accustomed to.
CJL invited their interstate guest, Damien Slater, to the ring to tackle one member of Awesome Inc. Shane Haste and Kiel E.Lectrifying hit the ring and revealed that it was Haste who would battle Slater in this one on one match.
This was an exciting, back and forth match up with both men taking turns in the driver’s seat. With so many people at ringside, it seemed to only be a matter of time before this match degenerated into a brawl. GST constantly looked for ways to get involved but the presence of Kiel and the alertness of referee Dan kept them at bay.
Eventually Shane drilled Slater with the HasteMaker which led to everyone at ringside jumping in to the ring. Dan threw the match out but GST, Michelle and Slater kicked the bejesus out of Shane and Kiel. This brought AZ Vegara and Christopher Vice running in for the save. Combined with Awsome Inc, they managed to clear the ring before Haste took flight with a reverse corkscrew to the floor.
With Lukey running wild with authority, he decided that the match become an eight person tag. This match had enough high flying to draw the attention of NASA. It was all action from the time it started until it finished.
GST and Damien controlled most of the bout by isolating, first Vice, then AZ, from making the tag. The match picked up when Haste finally made the tag. Bodies were flying everywhere as Shane went for a dive but was backdropped onto the pack on the floor. Then everyone got in on the act. Slater hit a somersault senton. AZ hit an amazing corkscrew that may have been the move of the match. CJL was launched by Awsome Inc onto the pack. BBB then took suplexed Kiel E to the floor and followed up by powerbombing Chris Vice over the top rope and onto the pack.
Michelle tried to hit Haste with the belt but was caught by Vice. She found herself stuck in the ring with all four of her opponents with no help in sight. All four wrestlers delivered jaw breakers before nailing her with a four man turtle smash. Haste then sunset flipped BBB for the three count as Kiel delivered the Leap of Faith to take out everyone on the floor one more time.
As Awsome Inc, Vice and AZ celebrated, Bobby returned to interrupt the fun. But instead he found himself the victim of a Mexican bulldog, a top rope blockbuster, a swanton bomb and a Shane Haste frog splash.
Jack Burbank then tried to one up Lukey by making a huge match for PLAYING FOR KEEPS. He announced that GST would defend the tag team titles against Awsome Inc.
