Davis Storm made his way out to the
ring to accept the challenge of any wrestler. What he wasn’t
expecting was Australia’s finest wrestler. Storm’s jaw hit the floor
as Jag made his way out to the ring. Jag accepted the challenge and
even added a stipulation. He said that he was so much better than
Davis Storm that if he didn’t beat him in 10 minutes or less, he’d
never wrestle in Perth again.
The match began with Jag jumping Storm from behind. Storm tried to
stall the match a few times by heading to the floor, knowing full
well that Jag only had 10 minutes to defeat him. Storm capatalised
on Jag’s impatience and was able to fight his way back into the
match. Storm was not just trying to survive the ten minutes. He
wanted victory.
A huge fishermanbuster had Storm
reeling but a springboard enziguiri sent Jag into a spin.
Storm went for his coup de grace, the Rolling Storm. Jag blocked it
and tried to lock on the full nelson clutch that Storm tapped out to
in February. Storm blocked it and went for the Eye of the Storm. Jag
pushed off and Davis almost collided with the referee. Jag used this
opportunity to roll Storm up with his feet on the ropes for a win
with barely 20 seconds to spare.
Storm was dejected after the match but
challenged Jag to one more match in the future. Jag accepted but
with a condition. The match had to be on his terms. Storm agreed and
Jag announced that in 2005, EPW fans would witness Davis Storm
versus Jag in a one hour Iron Man match! Davis told Jag that if he
wins the title at RE-AWAKENING, he will put it on the line next year
against Jag.
