Tag Team Championship Match
Serial Thrillers vs GST
This match was yet another feud coming
to a head. The Thrillers were pumped and attacked GST in the aisle
as they made their way to the ring. The champs controlled the early
going as Lazareth and BBB appeared stunned by the early onslaught
from Sane and West.
The champs showed they could play dirty when they want to, as they
paid GST back in full for all of the crap they had been put through
all year long. It was obvious that they didn’t just want to beat
GST. They wanted to send a message to every team in EPW. It took
almost five minutes for the challengers to get into the match. All
BBB could do is watch on as his partner was decimated.
A perfectly executed 2nd rope dropkick
gave Lazareth some breathing space and he was able to tag in Bobby.
But he didn’t fair any better in the early going as Sane drilled him
with a running neckbreaker. A massive tornado DDT from West forced
Lazareth to break up the pin. Bobby finally managed to reverse
Justin’s rolling facebuster into a suplex and this gave GST some
momentum. Referee Brett Corvus is no friend of the Thrillers, and
did the champs no favours in this match, allowing GST to cheat at
will.
West and Sane combined to hit the Thrill Ride(fireman’s cutter)
which should have got them the win. But Corvus refused to count to
three. Sane then took him out with a gordbuster. CJL was then dealt
the Curfew Breaker (crucifix DDT) for an emphatic win for the Serial
Thrillers.
As they celebrated, Michelle entered
the ring and low blowed both men. GST then pounced and in the
mayhem, managed to set up a table. The Thrillers sent them packing
from the ring before issuing an open challenge for RE-AWAKENING.
Jack Burbank then told them that if they wanted to fight, they could
fight all of the other tag teams at RE-AWAKENING in a four corners
elimination match. Lukey then added that if GST wanted to play with
tables, it would be a tables elimination match. Another brawl broke
out and as the Thrillers set CJL up on the table, Awesome Inc ran
in. Kiel executed a beautiful swanton on Lazareth before Haste came
off the other buckle and smashed CJL through the table with a
massive frog splash. The two teams got in each others faces before
leaving.
