13/09/03 - Re-Awakening Announced
Re-Awakening is EPW’s showcase event. This year will mark the third year of Re-Awakening (Or Awakening).

The first year Awakening was held at the Wanneroo Civic Centre. A 16-man tournament was held to decide the first ever EPW Invitational Tournament winner. After a long day of battle. Jimmy Payne was declared the winner after defeating Davis Storm in the final.

Last years Re-Awakening was also held at the Wanneroo Civic Centre. This event was the single largest crowd to ever attend an EPW event. It also saw the first ever EPW End of Year Awards. The always stunning Dynamite Dolls made their debut. Local heavy metal kings, HeavyWeightChamp rocked the stage.

And the wrestling did not disappoint. There was a little something for everyone. The emotional battle between Azazal and The Vagrant that saw the Uprising seize control of EPW. The brutal war between Jamie Jurah and Richter, in which Jurah lost a tooth. F.N. Carnage defeating two men in one night to become the Invitational champion for 2002. Brad West recording his first ever victory. Or Jimmy Payne beating Davis Storm in a physical 2 out of 3 falls classic to become the EPW champion.

This year promises to continue the fine tradition of Re-Awakening being the highlight of the EPW year. The EPW roster is stronger than ever and a great card is assured. The Re-Awakening Invitational Tournament will one again be a feature of this year end event. At the moment, we have a field of 12 wrestlers competing for the title. That number will be down to 4 by the time Re-Awakening rolls around. The winner will have to beat two men in one night to become the Invitational champion for 2003.

The event will be held on the 15th November 2003 and will take place at the Margaret Cockman Pavilion, on the Wanneroo Showgrounds. Ticket prices have yet to be set but this special night will undoubtedly be worth every cent. Stay tuned for further details.
