29/09/03 - Matches announced for Re-Awakening
After what will surely be an Event of the Year contender, Out of Control, we now turn our focus to the end of year spectacular that is Re-Awakening.

After the completion of the Re-Awakening qualifying matches we were left with Jamie Jurah, Brad West, The Vagrant and Davis Storm. However, in order for Storm and The Vgrant to take place in the ten-man tag match at Out Of Control, Azazal made them give up their spots in the tournament.

So, we know that Brad West will face Jamie Jurah in one semi final. But the question is being asked, how will the other finalist be determined? We can now inform you all that a battle royal will take place at Re-Awakening. The winner of the battle royal will go on to face the winner of the Jamie Jurah versus Brad West match to decide who will be this year’s Invitational Tournament winner.

Inner Turmoil ended with Team EPW on a massive high. They had finally all stood as one and thought they had The Uprising on the back foot. Well, the Uprising certainly bit back hard at this event. They left Team EPW in a beaten mess. Jimmy Payne was powerbombed through a table. The Vagrant had a chair kicked into his face. Davis Storm was attacked with a metal guardrail and, in the biggest shock of all, Dancin Lukey was laid out by a vicious chair shot from Azazal.

That will not change the main event for Re-Awakening. It only showed that no one can underestimate the Uprising, going into this winner takes all showdown. The match that was decided on will be a SIX MAN NO HOLDS BARRED STREET FIGHT. This match will be to a single fall which must take place in the ring. The Uprising will be represented by their leader Xeriyous Blade, the EPW chairman Azazal and Mikey. Team EPW will be represented by The Vagrant, Davis Storm and Jimmy Payne.

If Team EPW win the match, they will take control of EPW back from the Uprising. But if the Uprising win, Davis Storm must join the Uprising. That would be a massive blow to EPW’s chances to ever win back control.

Re-Awakening will also see the return of the always lovely Dynamite Dolls. The only way to see this event is to be at the Margaret Cockman Pavilion on Saturday November 15th 2003. Tickets are $15 for general entry and $10 for children under12. A family pass of two children under 12 and 2 general tickets is available for $40.

You can pre-order tickets by sending a cheque or money order to:

Explosive Pro Wrestling
Unit3 / 4 Gary Road

The ceremony for the End of Year awards will also take place at Re-Awakening. You will not want to miss this event. Get you tickets soon. Check back at epwperth.com to see new matches as they come to hand. See you all at the show.
