| 13/05/04 - Hell or Highwater Announcement |
Hell or Highwater has been the follow up to
Evolution for each year that EPW has been in existence. And every year the main event at
Hell or Highwater has been an EPW title match. And this year will be no different.
With Re-Awakening fast approaching, EPW have decided to select one of the competitors for
its main event. As you all know, Re-Awakening is the biggest show of the EPW year. To be
in the main event is considered the biggest honour in this company, other than actually
wearing the EPW title. It has already been announced that the main event for Re-Awakening
will be an EPW title match
So at Hell or Highwater, a gauntlet match will be held to determine the #1 contender for
the EPW title at Re-Awakening. Two men have already put their names into the hat. Both
Tommy Cartel and Richter will participate in the gauntlet match. We expect many more names
to join that list as many will want to be in this match to ensure themselves a spot in the
main event for Re-Awakening.
We can also announce a grudge match for Hell or Highwater. After Devlin Reeves joined the
Brat Pack, Psychofett has been a man obsessed with revenge. Devlin scored a cheap pinfall
over Psychofett in the six man match at Evolution but this time there will be no one for
Reeves to hide behind. The two will do battle in a singles match at Hell or Highwater.
The Genetically Superior Team have been on a roll as of late. At Animosity, BobbyBadBlood
scored a pinfall victory over Justin Sane. And on the first Night of Evolution, Chris
Lazareth scored a pinfall victory over Brad West on the way to his win in the 3-way
challenge. With a singles victory over both members of the tag team champions, GST have
set forth a challenge for the Serial Thrillers. They have challenged the Serial Thrillers
to a tag team title match. We expect to hear from the champions in the coming weeks.
And in the main event, we will see the EPW title defended. Davis Storm has had to battle
all year long just to get an EPW title shot. He managed to barely scrape past Jag, Havok
and Brad West in a 4-way on Night 2 of Evolution to become the #1 contender.
