Azazal……Thank you for your time in granting this interview.
How are you?
Don’t patronise me, let’s just get this over with.
We’d all like to know, how did you feel after your recent
loss in the huge Gauntlet match at Hell or Highwater 2003? As we
know, a win would have put you into the main event of
Re-Awakening. Was that a disappointment after being in the main
event last year?
What do you think idiot, of course it was a disappointment. I
not only lost my biggest chance of getting into the Main Event
of Re-Awakening 2004, but more importantly, I lost the chance to
become No. 1 Contender for the EPW title. And to make matters
worse, Mikey won the match and now he’s the No. 1 contender.
Yes, let’s talk your issue with Mikey. Most people are
confused. You already defeated Mikey in your grudge match at
Animosity. He seems to have let the issue go. Why are you still
upset at him?
You answered your own question. Your correct I did beat Mikey,
with no interference, no weapons, I gave him the Fallen Angel
and pinned him for the win. I walked away with the victory and
what have I got to show for it…Nothing! Shit all, basically. And
yeah, he has let it go, because he didn’t lose anything from it.
Mikey actually came out of that match better than when he went
in. I mean, I’ve had a pretty uneventful year. I have beaten
nearly every single wrestler I have wrestled and I have gone
this whole year practically unnoticed. Mikey on the other hand
has ended up being put in every top-card match, being booked on
NWA Australia shows and now Mikey’s in the god damn Main Event
of Re-Awakening. He has the opportunity to become EPW Champion,
and that is something that I can not live with. I will do
everything within my power to make sure that Mikey does not get
his hands on the EPW title, what ever it takes.
So what will it take to end your issue with Mikey?
This thing with Mikey goes way deeper than anyone could imagine.
I mean, we grew up together. We had been best friends for as
long as I can remember, before ECW/EPW had even been mentioned.
But he stabbed me in the back, all because of his enormous ego
and his greed for the EPW title. So I seriously don’t think
anything could end my issue with Mikey entirely. Nothing can
take away the amount of pure hatred I have for him. I gave him
every opportunity possible. While I was in charge of EPW, I put
him in the best matches possible. And how does he repay me, by
figuratively kicking me in the gut and slapping me in the face.
That arrogant bastard will get everything he deserves. I promise
you that.
Getting away from the Mikey issue, you haven’t had the same
profile within EPW since being removed from power last November.
What do you attribute this to?
Are you trying to piss me off? The reason I don’t have the same
profile as last year is because I’m no longer in control. As EPW
Chairman I was able to call all the shots, do whatever I wanted.
And just because I made a few decisions which other people
didn’t agree with, they have decided to punish me for it. People
like Dancin’ Lukey and The Vagrant have used their power to push
me as far down the ladder as possible. But I’ve really had
enough of all of it. I’m tired of defeating every person EPW
throws at me and still getting nothing for it. Things are going
to change around here, and it looks like I’m going to have to
make it happen.
So, finally, what can we expect from Azazal in the following
months?
Before this year ends I will have made the impact which I set
out to make at the start of the year. I will make every single
EPW Staff Member, Fan and most importantly EPW Wrestler stand up
and take notice. And I will have finally got my revenge against
Mikey, making sure he doesn’t get his hands on the EPW title.
And as we head into 2005, I will have shifted my target, and be
aiming towards what I truly deserve, and that is to be known as
Azazal, Explosive Pro Wrestling Champion.
We thank you again for your time.
Shut Up, and get out.
