Card Announced |
With the recent announcement of the revised main event for
Evolution, we thought it was time to take a look at the rest of
the card that has been announced for Night 1.
As we now, the main event of Night 2 will see Mikey defend his
EPW title against three of the toughest men we have ever seen in
this federation. Jag and Havok will make their long awaited
return to EPW as they try to snatch the gold from around Mikey’s
waist. But they will also have to contend with the recently
returned Jimmy Payne. Jimmy has been on a tear since his return
and will be looking to finally recapture the belt that he lost
almost two years ago. In a preview of Night 2, Mikey will battle
Havok in a non title match. And speaking of Night 1, Jag will
face the ultra dangerous Richter in what may simply be a fight
for survival.
But back to Night 1. We will see the current EPW tag team
champions, the Genetically Superior Team, take on the team of
Jamie Jurah and Devlin Reeves. The former Brat Pack members
didn’t seem to be getting along too well at the last show so it
will be interesting to see if they can put their differences
aside in order to win the tag titles that they cherish. But the
champs are on a roll and will now be easily beaten at this
stage. Whoever wins this bout will have to regroup and be ready
to defend their titles on Night 2.
Their challengers will be decided in an Evolution Round Robin to
be held on Night 1. Three teams will face each other in three
tag team matches. The team with the best winning record will
become the #1 contenders for Night 2. If the teams are tied up
on one win each they will square off in a three way to determine
the winner. The three teams will be Awsome Inc., The Serial
Thrillers and the newly formed European Union. The Serial
Thrillers have not formally accepted the match but have been
forced to team together by the EPW Board of Directors who
control their contracts.
And in keeping with tradition, the EPW Rumble will take place on
Night 1. Every EPW wrestler will want a shot in this match as
the winner will become the #1 contender for the EPW title past
Evolution. Only Mikey, Jimmy Payne, Jag and Havok will be
ineligible to participate in this match as all four will battle
for the title on Night 2. The winner of the Rumble will then
become the #1 contender to whoever is holding the title after
Night 2 is said and done.
