23/06/05 - More matches announced for Hell or Highwater

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF VENUE FOR HOHW.
VENVILLE REC CENTRE (Cnr. Eigth Ave & Guildford Road, Maylands)

More matches have been added to the card for July 16th. We already know that the main event will see the EPW champion, Richter, defend his belt against the former champion, Mikey. Mikey is out for revenge after being robbed of the title at Evolution and will be more fired up than he has ever been for this return match. Richter is not just going to lay down for the Rising Star and has promised to walk away with the title once again. This match has enough riding on it without taking into consideration that it will be a street fight. It should be an incredibly brutal match.

In what is being billed, the final showdown, the Genetically Superior Team will take on Awsome Inc in a tag match for the EPW tag team titles. EPW officials have approved this match but have told Awsome Inc that this will be their last shot at GST. It’s do or die for Awsome Inc as they try to end this issue and take home the gold. GST know this is a huge match and they could write there names in the history books as the greatest tag champions in EPW history with a win here. In order to get a decisive finish, EPW officials have banned everyone from ringside in this match.

And in another massive match, former team mates will do battle in a last man standing match. Devlin Reeves and Jamie Jurah will go to war until one of them can no longer stand. This issue took a nasty turn at Evolution after Reeves handcuffed Jurah and back chopped him until his back bled. Reeves must now face Jurah at Hell or Highwater. Jamie has promised that Reeves will not keep him down. This match will also be a qualifying match for the Invitational Tournament scheduled for Re-Awakening 2005.

Brad West has asked for a return match with Davis Storm after being cheated out of a win at Evolution. EPW officials have granted him his wish and the two will hook it up at HOHW.

Lord Jonathon Wimbledon has issued an open challenge for HOHW. This may prove to be a stupid decision. The last time an open challenge was laid in EPW, Davis Storm was shocked by the appearance of Jag. Knowing that anyone could easily accept the challenge, he had better have his tag team partner, The Don, in arm’s reach.

And finally, James Street and Chris Vice will do battle in a Re-Awakening Invitational qualifier. Qualifying is starting early this year as everyone wants in for this tournament. Can the Fluro Phenom overcome everyone’s favourite metrosexual?

Tickets are $13.50 for general entry and $7 for kids under 12 for tickets that are purchased before the day. Tickets are available from EMPIRE TOYS in the city or can be obtained by sending a cheque / money order to:
