Evolution is one of the biggest
events in EPW’s calendar year and this year’s should be no
exception. For the past three years it has been voted the Event
of the Year in the fan’s choice awards.
The main event will see an EPW championship match of epic
proportions. Longtime adversaries Havok and Jimmy Payne will do
battle in a lumberjack match to decide who will hold the belt
high at night’s end.
Another match signed for Night 2 will see Azazal & AZ Vegara
meet their bitter rivals in the ‘American Nightmare’ Brock
Freeman & Chris Vice. We will also see a battle royal take place
where the winner can have any match of their choosing at Hell or
Highwater.
But Night 1 will not be short of big matches either. In a
student v mentor match, Tommy Cartel will have to face FN
Carnage in a must win match. If Cartel loses he will no longer
receive the tutelage of the former EPW champion.
Shane Haste is set to tackle South Australia’s Damien Slater for
a spot in the Invitational tournament. We already know that
Devlin Reeves has qualified for the semi finals and one of these
two will join him after Evolution Night 1.
And speaking of Devlin Reeves, he offered $1000 to Richter to
take on Jamie Jurah in his return match to EPW. The big man has
accepted the offer and will tackle his old nemesis at Evolution.
The EPW champion Havok will also be in action on Night 1as he
teams with his valet, Anella, to go up against the European
Union.
The traditional Evolution 3 way challenge will take place
between Azazal, James Street & Chris Vice. The three will do
battle in singles matches and the first man to achieve two
victories will be declared the winner. If they end up 1 draw a
piece, a three way dance will take place to determine a winner.
And GST will get to see exactly who has answered their Australia
wide open challenge on Night 1. In the past we have seen
wrestlers from Victoria and South Australia. Managers from
wrestlers all over Australia have been negotiating with
Explosive Pro Wrestling to try and secure the title shot for
their men. We will find out who was successful on May 26th.
