A written statement arrived from Jack Burbank earlier today
regarding a few issues. The most important news, dealt with the
issue between Jag and Havok & the main event for Re-Awakening V.
“Firstly, the Board of Directors and I would like to apologise
to the fans of Explosive Pro Wrestling. Due to the actions of
the Forefathers, we were unable to deliver the main event that
so many of you had looked forward to. However, we hope to make
it up to you over the next two shows.
As you know, RE-AWAKENING V is coming up. This year’s
Re-Awakening is set to be the biggest EPW event of all time. We
are pleased to announce that the main event will feature the EPW
champion Jimmy Payne. Exactly who his opponent will be is set to
be decided at Boiling Point. No less than eight men will
participate in a #1 contenders Gauntlet Match. The men in this
match will be announced in the coming weeks.
Now, the issue between Jag and Havok has been simmering since
Evolution. Havok is still furious that Jag helped Jimmy Payne
defeat him for the EPW championship. But of course, he was even
more livid that Jag assaulted his valet, Anella.
We, at the Board of Directors, decided to keep Havok off EPW
events until we could resolve the situation. Jag was not willing
to commit to a one on one match with Havok unless it was on his
terms. Despite our protests, Havok has accepted Jag’s terms.
The main event of Boiling Point will see Havok take on Davis
Storm. If Havok wins, he will face Jag at RE-AWAKENING V on
November 4th 2006. However, should he lose at Boiling Point,
Havok will be banned from the building at RE-AWAKENING. Instead,
Jag would face Anella in a one on one match.
We wish Havok the best of luck in his endeavour on September
16th as the consequences is he loses would be too severe to
imagine. EPW’s Board of Directors hope to see all of you over
the course of the next two shows.”
That is huge news. Let’s hope for Anella’s sake that her man is
successful against the ‘Ironman’ on September 16th.
