01/09/06 - Boiling Point Update

BOILING POINT
16th September 2006
Venville Rec Centre, Maylands

Boiling Point is looking like a huge night of action. We already know that the main event will see Havok battle his old nemesis, Davis Storm. This is a huge match in itself but it has bigger implications.

If Havok wins, he will face Jag at RE-AWAKENING V on November 4th 2006. However, should he lose at Boiling Point, Havok will be banned from the building at RE-AWAKENING. Instead, Jag would face Anella in a one on one match.

A #1 contenders eight man gauntlet will also be held to determine the #1 contender to the EPW title for Re-Awakening. Names for the Gauntlet will be announced in the coming weeks.

The semi final brackets for the Invitational tournament have been decided also. We will see the ‘American Nightmare’ Brock Freeman go up against the self-proclaimed ‘Future of Australian wrestling’, Damien Slater.

And the other semi will see a rematch from the last show as Devlin Reeves will take on the very unorthodox, James Street. These matches will have huge implications as every winner of the Invitational tournament has gone on to taste EPW gold.

In a severe case of the sacrificial lamb, newcomer Rusty Evans will have the toughest first up match that anyone in EPW could receive. On September 16th he will come face to face with the EPW champion, Jimmy Payne, in a non title match.

Tickets for this show are available from Planet Video in Mt Lawley or from 78 Records in the city. For further details simply call 0411 570 021.
