RE-AWAKENING V – November 4th 2006
Venville Recreation Centre, Maylands
The biggest show in EPW’s history. Five long years in the
making. And if the announced card is anything to go by, we are
all set for an incredible night of wrestling action.
The main event will see the EPW championship defended as Jimmy
Payne puts his belt on the line against the Young Gun’s own,
Bobby Marshall. This is Marshall’s chance to strike the heaviest
blow possible against the Forefathers by taking away their prize
possession, the EPW title. Jack Burbank has informed the referee
in charge of this bout that he wants a clear cut winner and does
not want the fans cheated by a count out finish so the rules
will be relaxed in this match.
Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste will go at it once again to
determine who the better man is. Mikey reigned supreme at
Evolution in May in a sensational bout. Can Haste now overcome
the ‘International Wrestling Superstar’, or will Nicholls repeat
the dose at RE-AWAKENING V?
Jag & Havok’s names are synonymous to most Australian wrestling
fans. They have done battle countless times in the past. And on
November 4th they take their fight to the biggest platform in
Australian wrestling, RE-AWAKENING.
FN Carnage has had issues with the individual members of the
European Union, but at RE-AWAKENING he will face all three men
at the same time in a Hardcore Handicap Match.
The Invitational Tournament is the single longest running
tournament in Australian wrestling. This year, Devlin Reeves &
Brock Freeman will lock horns to see who will take home the
trophy and a shot at the EPW champion in 2007.
Davis Storm & Azazal have spent most of their careers fighting
each other so it seems appropriate that they will face each
other once again at the five year anniversary of Explosive Pro
Wrestling.
Brad West has been a bona fide ‘All Star’ since his return to
EPW but he will have a huge task ahead of him at RE-AWAKENING.
In fact that task will be 6 foot 5 inches and 260 pounds of
Richter.
The issue between Chris Vice & Az Vegara seems far from
finished. On November 4th, they will lead two teams against each
other. AZ will pair up with Justin Sane, Rusty Evans & Jay
Taylor to take on Chris Vice, Chris J Lazareth, James Street &
the returning ‘Red Dragon’ Psychofett.
We will see the presentation of the 2006 Fan voted Awards as
well as the awards for Match & Wrestler of the past 5 years.
GENERAL - $18
KIDS (Under 12) - $10
FAMILY PASS (only available direct from EPW) - $45

This is THE not to miss event of the year. Whether you’re a new
fan who has only just heard of EPW or an old school fan who
hasn’t been in a while, make sure you come on down to the
Venville Rec Centre on November 4th for the celebration of 5
years of EPW.
