EPW News & Rumours

04/01/07 - Hot Summers Night Main Event and More

After a long deliberation, EPW officials have made two important decisions. The first was to strip Devlin Reeves of the #1 contendership to the EPW championship. The Board found Reeves behaviour at Re-Awakening to be conduct unbecoming of a #1 contender to the EPW title and have revoked his shot at Jimmy Payne’s EPW championship.

However, the Board felt that Reeves should be given the chance to prove himself once again so he has been entered into a match at Hot Summers Night for the #1 contendership. He will face not one, not two but three men in the quest to once again become the next man to challenge for the EPW title.

Two of the men entering this match are former EPW champions who would love nothing more than to climb the mountain once again. The International Wrestling Superstar, Mikey, and the one and only Ironman of Australian wrestling, Davis Storm, have both been placed in this match. The last man was none other than the 2006 EPW Wrestler of the Year, the Awe-Inspiring, Shane Haste.

The winner of this match will get their shot at the EPW champion, Jimmy Payne, at Date with Destiny (24th February 2007).

The rest of the card currently looks like this:

NON TITLE MATCH
Jimmy Payne v Jamie Jurah

GRUDGE MATCH
Chris Vice v AZ Vegara

Brad West v James Street

Psychofett v Rusty Evans

And don’t forget about our fancy dress competition. Come dressed in the theme of Hot Summers Night for a chance to share in the prizes. Tickets are still available from 78 Records & Planet Video. For any further details, please ring 0411 570 021.
