EPW News & Rumours

11/02/08 - EPW GOLDRUSH this weekend
GOLDRUSH

16TH FEBRUARY 2008 / VENVILLE REC CENTRE

With Goldrush just a few days away, EPW officials have finally released the remainder of the card. We already know that there will be three major title matches at Goldrush.

The NWA Australian Championship will go on the line as Jimmy Payne steps up to challenge Mikey Nicholls.

The EPW champion Shane Haste will go one on one with his opponent from RE-AWAKENING VI, Bobby Marshall.

And the Fighting Hellfish will defend their EPW tag team titles against the European Union.

We also know Nate Dooley is set to battle the ‘Mexican Wrestling Superstar’ Jose’ Del Santo.

Well we can now announce three more big matches. Richter and Chris Vice will once again go head to head in a three way dance. But this match should be far more explosive than last time, as the man rounding out this trio is Devlin Reeves. Surely a win for either of these three men would launch them back towards a shot at championship gold.

Chase Griffin (yes he has a last name!) will have his work cut out for him as he takes on Azazal. Azazal & Ferguson Block seemed to blame Chase & Dan Moore for them not becoming the #1 contenders to the EPW tag team championships and Azazal wants to take it out on the youngster at Goldrush.

But that match may not be the most lopsided on the show. Since becoming protégés of Bobby Marshall, AZ Vegara & Jay Taylor may be getting a little carried away with themselves. Despite knowing that an open challenge is as good as signing your own death warrant, that is exactly what Taylor & Vegara have done. The challenge has been accepted by the ‘Ironman’ Davis Storm who has promised that he will not be coming alone.

This looks like being a HUGE first show for EPW. Tickets are still available from Ticketek. Log onto Ticketek.com, call them on 132 849 or visit one of their 13 outlets through out Perth.
