July 5th will see Nate Dooley &
Jimmy Payne farewell the company they helped build as they team
with Davis Storm to face off against the EPW champion Bobby
Marshall, Jay Taylor & a replacement who has yet to be named. As
you would all know by now, this match has been announced as a
six man street fight.
But that won’t be the only big match to take place at HOHW.
Damian Slater will make his long awaited return to EPW Perth.
Last time we saw Slater he made two great showings against the
EPW champion & the NWA Australian champion in two consecutive
days. At Hell or Highwater, Slater will be looking to get his
name back in the winner’s column. But it won’t be an easy task
as he goes up against the ‘Awe-Inspiring’ Shane Haste.
Hell or Highwater will also see the return of the Rising Star
Cup. The Rising Star Cup was introduced last year by Explosive
Pro Wrestling. All wrestlers with two years experience or less
in EPW are entitled to enter the one night tournament. This
years tournament will take a different format as the qualifying
round will see two – 3 way elimination matches take place. The
winners of these two matches will face off for the right to call
themselves the Rising Star for 2008. The first bracket has been
announced & will see Alex Kingston, Jose’ Del Santo & Sebastian
Sander fighting it out for a place in the final.
This should be an incredible night as EPW pays tribute to two of
its longest standing warriors. Come along & be a part of
