The Road to Glory could be
described as the road to RE-AWAKENING. And there will be plenty
of bumps in the road for all of those involved in Explosive Pro
Wrestling.
The EPW champion Bobby Marshall has plenty on his mind leading
up to RE-AWAKENING as he now knows he will face the man mountain
Richter for the EPW championship. But standing in his way will
be the ‘Ironman’ of Australian wrestling Davis Storm. Storm has
had his best year since 2004 & is looking to cap it off with a
huge win over Marshall. Despite being a RE-AWAKENING level main
event, this match has been scheduled as a non title match.
RE-AWAKENING will also see the return of the final of the
Invitational Tournament. Road to Glory will see the quarter &
semi finals take place as 8 men fight it out for the right to a
shot at the EPW championship in 2009. The 8 names have been
announced but we have not received any of the match ups. EPW
officials say that the bouts are being kept secret, even from
the wrestlers involved. This year’s tournament may be the most
star studded one yet with two former EPW champions, two former
EPW tag team champions, two former Invitational Tournament
winners & the 2008 Rising Star Cup winner. The eight men are:
the ‘Awe-Inspiring’ Shane Haste, Damian Slater, Tyler Jacobs,
Drake Wallace, Devlin Reeves, Sebastian Sander, AZ Vegara & Jay
Taylor.
The EPW tag team championship will also go on the line as Dan
Moore & Chase Griffin will take on two members of the European
Union. With Marcius Pitsonopolous back in the fold, can the
Union reclaim the gold?
Remember that voting for the End of Year awards will also take
place at Road to Glory.
August 30th will see action aplenty at the Venville Rec Centre
as this shapes up to be a not to be missed show. Get your
