The Jamie Jurah – Bobby Marshall
issue has been simmering for a little over four months now, and
at Kristmas Kaos, it is set to boil over.
All year, Marshall has set his sights on gaining the respect of
all involved in EPW by attempting to have the single greatest
year in this company’s history. By mid year, Marshall had won
the EPW championship & turned back the challenges of Devlin
Reeves, FN Carnage & Mikey Nicholls.
It seemed as if noone could stop Bobby & he would go on his
merry way collecting scalps & proving that he was the best
wrestler to ever step foot in an EPW ring.
Then it all fell apart.
Marshall can probably blame his ego for getting way ahead of
itself. Not long after Evolution, Richter made it his business
to get in Bobby’s face at every turn. Instead of trying to deal
with the issue, Marshall turned his attention to the retiring
Jimmy Payne & Nate Dooley.
Bad idea.
Bobby went to Hell or Highwater to face three of the best who
were charged up with the emotion of seven years of hard work &
in the end, no matter what he threw at Dooley, Payne & Storm, he
just couldn’t get the job done.
With Richter still breathing down his neck, Marshall went to the
Queens Park Rumble & targeted another retired EPW wrestler in
Jamie Jurah. This was the first of several confrontations as
Bobby continually goaded Jurah to step in the ring one more
time.
Jamie would fulfill Bobby’s request but not in the way he was
hoping. Jurah’s return to the ring saw him smash Marshall with
the EPW championship as Davis Storm went on to claim the gold at
Road to Glory.
Now at Kristmas Kaos, Jurah will risk permanent paralysis to
gain a measure of revenge on Marshall. Despite his goofy ring
persona, Jamie has always been a proud man who never took a
backward step no matter what the situation.
While Jamie will go into this match a massive underdog he has
two things going in his favour. Despite Marshall’s constant
baiting, Jamie has scored the only real psychological blow when
he cost Bobby the EPW championship.
And secondly, Bobby is on a major losing streak. He is 0-3 in
major matches in the second half of 2008, & this is a major
match that he can not afford to lose.
This match will be a memorable one & you do not want to miss it.
