08/04/09 - MARSHALL STRIPPED of GOLD!

After plenty of deliberation behind closed doors for the past two weeks, the EPW Board of Directors have finally come out and made a stunning decision.

The Board had a meeting on Wednesday with Bobby Marshall’s doctor and the early prognosis was not a good one. Marshall is conservatively looking at six months on the sidelines.

With a big title defense set for EVOLUTION in May, the Board has decided to strip Marshall of the EPW championship. This means Marshall will be the first champion in EPW’s history to lose the belt without ever having a chance to defend it.

They have acted quickly in setting the wheels in place to crown a new champion. At our last show, GOLDRUSH, Richter and Jamie Jurah both earned the chance to face the EPW champion at EVOLUTION. They will now battle each other on night one of EVOLUTION to decide the interim EPW champion.

The winner of that match will go onto night two to face the former champion, the ‘Ironman’ Davis Storm, to decide the new undisputed EPW champion.

The full announcement by the head of the Board of Directors, Brett Corvus, can below
