SEVEN UNRESOLVED ISSUES FROM 2009 – Part IV
This is the fourth of a seven part series, designed to look at
the seven unresolved issues remaining from 2009.
Today’s article will focus on the newborn rivalry between The
Blackest Hour and Team All Star.
After
RE-AWAKENING, the fortunes of these two teams could not
have been further apart.
Blackest Hour were riding high after Richter retained the
EPW championship over his long-term rival, Bobby Marshall.
Not only did they defeat Marshall but they also witnessed him
being indefinitely suspended from EPW. With their biggest threat
out of the way, it seemed like they were set up to rule 2010
with an iron fist.
On the other side, things could not have gone worse for Team All
Star. Not only did Sebastian Sander go down at the hands
of Ferguson Block, Brad West found himself a
victim of his own ego as he was fired from EPW. Brad had been
the brains behind Team All Star from the start and most experts
thought they would crash and burn quickly without him to lead
from the front.
Kristmas Kaos
saw the ‘Don’ Michael Morleone return to action to face
the newest member of the Blackest Hour, Adrian Priest
(formerly Jose’ Del Santo). Rick Sanders tried to talk
Morleone to throw the bout to Priest and when the ‘Don’ refused,
tempers quickly flared and we found ourselves with a tag team
match between Team All Star and the Blackest Hour.
Despite losing the match, Team All Star showed that they would
not be intimidated by the presence of the Blackest Hour. While
the Blackest Hour have faced some of EPW’s best in the past six
months, this presents a new challenge for them.
They are now faced with the prospect of facing off against a
team. Not three individuals but a team who are interested not
only in themselves but also in the other two members. A team who
are willing to fight side by side and sacrifice for their
partners and their team. A team who is now united by one simple
goal. Beat the Blackest Hour.
Team All Star realise that they could make their careers in the
process of gaining a simple measure of revenge. Sebastian Sander
is the only man in EPW who can stand toe to toe with the EPW
champion Richter and claim a size advantage. Michael Morleone is
tough and hardened thug and Vin Penhero has shown time
and time again that he is more than willing to put himself in
harms way if it means another victory for Team All Star.
Blackest Hour would have been happy to escape with a win at
Kristmas Kaos but even they would realise that the battle has
only just begun. Where it goes from here, is anyone’s guess but
we can guarantee, it’s going to be a wild ride.
