15/05/10 - EVOLUTION
Night #1 Main Event Confirmed
Just four short weeks ago, Jamie Jurah fulfilled his
dream of becoming the EPW Champion. Well in two weeks, he
will be faced with the toughest challenge of his career as he
puts the gold on the line against the ‘Ironman’ Davis Storm
in the main event of EVOLUTION
Night One.
Friday May 28th will see the Morley Sport and Rec
Centre play host to the very first singles match to take
place between these two men and the stakes could not be any
higher. For both men, this match is about cementing their legacy
as a champion. This match has the potential to be one of the
hardest fought title matches in EPW history. Who will walk away
with the gold?
We will also see a huge Gauntlet Match take place with
#1 contendership to the championship on the line. Five of
EPW’s very best will take aim at each other with a shot at the
gold hanging in the balance. Richter, Bobby Marshall,
Tyler Jacobs, Sebastian Sander and Jay Taylor
will battle it out with the last man standing receiving a shot
at the champion at HELL OR HIGHWATER. The draw will play
a massive part in this match as whoever draws number one and two
will have to defeat four men if they hope to become the #1
contender. While the winner will book themselves a shot at the
champion, the final man he defeats will be the ‘lucky loser’ of
this match as he will go straight into an Invitational
Tournament Qualifier on Night Two.
We can also confirm an Invitational Qualifier for Night
One as Carlo Cannon returns to Perth yet again. He wants
to make his mark by winning the tournament and claiming the EPW
championship to take back to Melbourne as his own. He will first
have to figure a way to get past two behemoths as he faces off
against Chris Vice and Marcius Pitt in a three way
dance.
The #1 contenders to the EPW tag team titles, the ‘New
Sensation’ AZ Vegara and the ‘Goldenboy’ Damian Slater,
will be having what they have dubbed a ‘warm up’ match against
the ‘Ginger Ninja’ Ferguson Block and Gavin ‘the
Shootfighter’ McGavin. However, McGavin and Block have plans
on upsetting their arrogant opponents and throwing a massive
spanner in the works prior to AZ and Slater facing the current
EPW tag team champions, Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste.
The feud between the Blackest Hour and Team All Star
is showing no signs of letting up as Devlin Reeves and
the ‘Don’ Michael Morleone go head to head in a battle of
the enforcers of their respective teams.
And finally, talent agent William Darcy has negotiated a
match for his new client ‘Hollywood’ Kiel Steria against
a man who holds two recent victories over Steria, Adam Banks.
Darcy has claimed that it is a new day for ‘Hollywood’ and that
he plans on wiping the slate clean by having Kiel destroy his
former teammate in the Blitz Team.
We still have one more big match to announce with Mikey Nicholls
and Shane Haste set to be in six man tag team action.
