At Hell or Highwater, it was announced that a one night tournament would be held on August 14th to decide the #1 contender to the EPW Championship for RE-AWAKENING 9 (November 27th 2010). All of the wrestlers within EPW have been abuzz with the news of the chance to fight for the EPW championship in the main event of the biggest show of the year.

We now have the final two quarter final matches to announce. The third quarter final could be one of the toughest to predict as yet another former EPW Champion faces off against one of EPW's fastest rising stars.

Shane Haste will face off with Team All Star's Sebastian Sander in a match up that could easily be a main event at any EPW show. Haste is extremely motivated after dropping the tag titles at Hell or Highwater and Sander is coming off a fantastic showing against Bobby Marshall.

Who will win this huge match and progress onto the semi finals later in the evening? Can either of these men go on to win the tournament and face the EPW champion at RE-AWAKENING 9?

And finally, the EPW Board of Directors have decided that with such a huge prize on offer, it would be unfortunate for any top contenders to miss out on this fantastic opportunity. So they decided that the last semi final spot would be determined in a Battle Royal. The last man standing in this match will then go on to the semi finals of the tournament later in the evening.

The only way to find out is to make sure that you're at the Cyril Jackson Rec Centre on August 14th as Explosive Pro Wrestling presents the Telethon Bash.

This is already shaping up to be a massive night and with all profits from the show being donated to Telethon, there has never been a better time to get along to an EPW event.
