After the shock of the EPW Championship changing hands at the first Midday Mayhem, you would think that Midday Mayhem 2 could not possibly be any bigger. Well if the first match announced for this show is any indicator, it will be.

Iconic match ups are hard to find in Australian wrestling but that is exactly what we have on our hands on June 12th. For the first time in Explosive Pro Wrestling’s 10 year history, two EPW recognised singles champions will face off in a one on one match!

That’s right. At the Morley Sport and Rec Centre we will see the EPW Champion, the ‘Ironman’ Davis Storm, square off with his long-time rival, the EPW Hardcore Champion, ‘Shotgun’ Tyler Jacobs. These two men have quite a history that has seen them face off many times in their careers.

Davis Storm is coming off a huge victory at Evolution 2011 where he became the first ‘4-time’ EPW champion, regaining the gold in a Last Man Standing Match with Marcius Pitt. The ‘Ironman’ is in the best form of his life and looking for the toughest challenges he can find.

And they don’t come any tougher than Tyler Jacobs.

‘Shotgun’ has reinvented himself by returning to his hardcore roots in recent years. After long-term injuries saw him lost in the shuffle for a few years, Jacobs has shot right back to the top of the tree through sheer brutality. He still stands as the only Grand Slam winner in Explosive Pro Wrestling (EPW Championship, EPW Tag Team Titles, EPW Hardcore Champion and an Invitational Tournament winner).
