With Midday Mayhem now less than a
week away, all of the matches have been signed and the wrestlers
are ready to deliver this Sunday at the Morley Sport and Rec
Centre. And this could legitimately be one of the cards of 2011
thus far.
As we already know, the main event
will see our very first, CHAMPION versus CHAMPION match as the
current EPW Champion, the ‘Ironman’ Davis Storm takes on the
Hardcore champion, ‘Shotgun’ Tyler Jacobs. This will be one of
the most iconic matches in EPW history as these two stalwarts
reignite their issue which has stretched through out their 10
year careers.
Hot off the heels of losing the EPW
championship, the road does not get any easier for the ‘Golden
Greek’ Marcius Pitt. He will need to bounce back quickly as he
is confronted by Shane Haste who is fresh off a three month tour
to Japan with Pro Wrestling NOAH. Has Marcius stepped his game
up enough to go toe to toe with the ‘Greatest’?
Speaking of TMDK, Mikey Nicholls
retuned at Evolution but failed to earn himself a shot at the
EPW championship as he desired. He is desperate to get himself
back into the winners circle at Midday Mayhem but he will be
confronted by all 280 pounds of the captain of Team All Star in
Sebastian Sander. Who will emerge with a huge victory in this
clash of the titans?
At Evolution, we saw the crowning
of new tag team champions in AZ Vegara and Jay Taylor. Their
first opponents since becoming champions will be the lively and
exciting team of Brett Foxx and Adam Banks. Despite being a non
title match, a win would elevate these two youngsters straight
into title contention. Can they overcome the new tag team
champions?
Both members of the Entourage will
be looking to bounce back from losses as they compete in singles
action at Midday Mayhem. ‘Hollywood’ Kiel Steria will have his
hands full as he faces former tag team champion, Chris Vice. And
Hayden Zenith will be looking for revenge as he faces the man
who defeated Kiel at Evolution, Alex Kingston. After being
jumped by the Entourage, Kingston will be looking to put a
beating on young Zenith on Sunday.
Fresh off two straight wins in
singles competition, Gavin McGavin is set to take a step up as
he faces off against Bobby Marshall. McGavin has been guaranteed
a title shot if he can chalk up five singles wins in a row and
with two wins under his belt, he is hoping that momentum can
help him to the biggest win of his career.
Two young lions of Explosive Pro
Wrestling will square off in an attempt to kickstart the
remainder of their 2011. Although both known as tag team
specialist, ‘Bruiser’ Barry Schmidt and Ryan Dangerfield will go
one on one at Midday Mayhem. With ‘Bruiser’ now under the
tutelage of Jamie Jurah, he will be aiming to please his new
coach with a first up victory for Team Jurah.
And finally, after months of
constantly interrupting EPW events with his nonsense, Leo Pratt
will be issuing what he has dubbed, the FML challenge. He is
promising to make life miserable for anyone who steps into the
ring with him and will be looking to get his EPW main show
career off to a flying start with a victory.
The show starts at 2pm with tickets
available right now by
clicking here on by phoning 0409 373 937. This is a not to
be missed event and with tickets only $15 or $10 for kids under
12, there are absolutely no excuses for missing this show.
