EPW officials have just broken from
an emergency meeting with the current EPW champion, Davis Storm,
who has handed in his resignation as an active member of the
roster effective from August 14th. Storm insisted at the meeting
that although he did not want to use the word 'retirement' that
he was convinced that Hell or Highwater would be his final night
as a wrestler in Explosive Pro Wrestling.
There were some tentative
negotiations of him possibly moving into a front office job in
the near future but neither side wanted to commit to anything
prior to the conclusion of Hell or Highwater.
Davis apparently offered to vacate
the title prior to this Saturday but EPW officials insisted that
he be given one last opportunity to defend the EPW championship
and go out on top. This has come as quite a shock to all
involved with EPW and the champion has said that he will attempt
to address this situation tomorrow.
Storm is one of the few remaining
inaugural members of the EPW roster. He is the only four time
EPW champion in history as well as having held the tag team
titles on two separate occasions and winning the Invitational
Tournament in 2009.
As a historic career comes to an
end, can Storm complete the fairytale and walk out of Hell or
Highwater with the EPW championship?
