With 2011 being our 10 year
anniversary at Explosive Pro Wrestling, we feel the time is
right for a little nostalgia. When EPW debuted in 2001, our very
first show, AWAKENING, was held on a Sunday afternoon. It
was the day that LIVE and LOCAL pro wrestling returned to WA
after an absence of over 10 years.
Well on April 10th, EPW will
hold its first major show on a Sunday since AWAKENING in 2001.
The Morley Sport and Rec Centre will play host to
MIDDAY MAYHEM
as the Next Generation of stars in EPW continue their push for
dominance.
We already know that the double
main event will see the EPW Championship and the Tag
Team Titles both on the line. AZ Vegara will step up
for his first shot at the EPW Championship as he prepares to go
one on one with the ‘Ironman’ Davis Storm.
After losing the EPW Tag Team
Titles at
GOLDRUSH, Chris Vice and Jonathon Wimbledon
have invoked their rematch clause as they attempt to wrest back
the gold from Team All Star.
Three of EPW’s brightest and
youngest stars will do battle with the winner being awarded a
shot at the EPW Hardcore Title at EVOLUTION. ‘The
Future’ Dan Moore, the ‘Kamikaze Kid’ Chase Griffin
and the ‘Innovator of Radness’ Alex Kingston are all
desperate to earn themselves the opportunity to challenge the
‘Godfather of Hardcore’ Shotgun Tyler Jacobs. The Board
of Directors have authorised the referees to allow the rules to
be relaxed in this match so that we can truly see who is most
capable of taking the fight to the EPW Hardcore Champion. As
such, this match will see no disqualifications.
Since day one in EPW, Gavin
McGavin’s career has been shadowed by ‘Gorgeous’ Garry
Schmidt. In fact, it was Schmidt who brought McGavin into
EPW before turning on him and the two have been at it ever
since. Last year, ‘Gorgeous’ robbed the ‘Shootfighter’ of the
Rising Star Cup as interference from Bruiser Barry
allowed his brother to walk away with the trophy. McGavin is
sick of it and has laid down the challenge for the two men to
settle this issue once and for all. Midday Mayhem will give
these two men the platform to see who the better man really is.
Tickets are available right now
by clicking here
or by calling EPW on 0409 373 937. This will be the last
major show before EVOLUTION in May so come along and see
your favourite EPW wrestlers in action.
