29/03/11 - Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste Making Their Mark in Japan

For years, Perth wrestling fans have been treated as many well kept secrets have graced the EPW ring, honing their craft as they chased a dream to become among the elite in the world of pro wrestling.

Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls are two of the very best that EPW have to offer and have been on several trips to the United States as they attempted to make a name for themselves. Mikey even added a trip to New Japan Pro Wrestling to his resume but this did not lead to the opportunities that he desired.

Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste in Japan

A recent trip to Florida Championship Wrestling provided both men with a WWE try out but better news was still to come.

In late February, Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste were invited to travel to Japan to spend three months with Pro Wrestling NOAH.

NOAH was the creation of Mitsuharu Misawa, who is widely considered as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and is home to some of the finest talent in the world including Kenta Kobashi, Naomichi Marafuji, Takeshi Morishima and KENTA.

Both Nicholls and Haste have made a great impression thus far and this week saw the two men team up to take on Japanese wrestling legend, Kensuke Sasaki, and his protégé, Katsuhiko Nakajima.

These two are proving that EPW has some world class, home grown talent and we are extremely proud of both men as they continue their trip in Japan. You can follow their progress at Pro Wrestling NOAH's offical website
